He was previously called upon for a few other events, like a ski jumping event in Norway, but this is his first Olympics. ![]() ski team in 2015, his name was entered into a “physicians pool,” which is essentially a list of physicians that could be called upon anytime to assist a team anywhere in the world. He will work with ski jumpers and Nordic combined athletes, who compete in ski jumps and cross country ski events. ![]() The 49-year-old physician and Newfields resident has been working with the 10 Olympic-bound athletes from across the county for more than a year, as their liaison to manage injuries and clear them to partake in the sport after recovery.
